Marissa Lozano, MPH, has a range of work experience in the healthcare and education fields. Marissa most recently worked as a Women's Health Data Analyst at AltaMed Health Services, where they provided support for analysis, project coordination, and data tracking related to health education grants. Prior to this, Marissa served as a Health Education Specialist/Data Analyst at Eisner Health, where they provided prenatal health education classes to women and their partners. Marissa also worked as a Spanish Teacher at St. Benedict School, teaching Spanish to students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade. Marissa started their career as a Research Assistant at California State University-Los Angeles, where they assisted with research experiments focused on microfluidics and point-of-care diagnostics.

Marissa Lozano, MPH, has a comprehensive education history that spans multiple institutions and areas of study. Their educational journey began in 2005 when they obtained a High School Diploma from Ramona Convent Secondary Schl. Marissa then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Public Health from UC Irvine, graduating in 2009. In 2011, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Community Health Education at California State University-San Bernardino, completing their studies in 2013.

Continuing their commitment to professional development, Marissa obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In 2017 and 2018, they participated in the "Managing to Leading" program at the University of California, San Francisco. This program seems to have contributed to their leadership skills. Additionally, they hold certifications in areas such as SQL for Data Science from the University of California, Davis, Positive Prevention Plus Curriculum from Cardea Training, and Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien from the March of Dimes.

Marissa has also pursued specialized training in fields relevant to their work. Marissa became a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and obtained certification as a Lactation Educator from UC San Diego Extension. Furthermore, they achieved the title of Family Planning Health Worker through Essential Access Health.
