Eric Nelson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience at Altair since August 1994, currently serving as Chief Engineer. In this role, Eric leads business development and delivery of multi-domain engineering and design projects, utilizing advanced CAE tools including OptiStruct, Radioss, LS-Dyna, Abaqus, and HyperStudy to enhance product market readiness for clients. Prior to this, Eric held various positions at Altair, including Program Manager and Project Engineer, contributing to numerous consulting projects in the Detroit area. Eric's career commenced at Westinghouse Electric Company from July 1993 to July 1994 as an Engineer in the Plant Apparatus Division, focused on procurement for the US Naval Nuclear Program. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), both earned at the University of Michigan.
