Dheeraj Vemula is a Global Business Development Manager for Digital Twins at Altair, a global technology company focusing on CAE, AI, and simulation, since September 2022. In this role, Dheeraj leads business development initiatives, creates go-to-market strategies, enables sales teams, and collaborates with marketing to refine product messaging. Prior to Altair, Dheeraj served as a Senior Application Engineer at ANSYS, Inc., where responsibilities included leading technical pre-sales activities and driving industrial digitization with digital twins across various sectors. Dheeraj also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, focusing on soft robotics and bio-inspired designs, as well as a Senior Engineer at General Motors, where system modeling and analysis were central tasks. Dheeraj began career at Ashok Leyland, performing drag prediction using statistical modeling techniques. Dheeraj holds a dual degree in Engineering Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
