Josh Aranov has a diverse work experience in the field of RF engineering and telecommunications. Josh most recently worked at Altaeros as an RF Field Engineer, starting in January 2020. Prior to that, they were available for consulting engagements and worked again as an RF Field Engineer from October 2019 to January 2020.
From 2016 to 2019, Josh was also an RF Field Engineer at Altaeros, where they were a member of a small design and implementation team. Josh contributed to the development and flight of several airborne radio payloads, including an advanced LTE system. Josh enjoyed collaborating with engineers from various disciplines.
Before Altaeros, Josh worked at Applied Communications from 2013 to 2016 as a DAS designer and RF Technologist. Josh designed DAS systems and provided RF technical support. Prior to that, they worked at InSite Wireless from 2010 to 2012 as a DAS Technologist, responsible for maintaining large DAS systems and solving noise and interference issues.
In 2008 and 2009, Josh served as a DAS Project Engineer at LGC Wireless. Josh also gained experience as an RF Engineer at Ambient Corp from 2005 to 2008, where they tested the performance of powerline RF couplers. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Radio Project Engineer at Canam Technology and Honeywell TSI, specializing in underground public safety radio systems.
As a Wireless Consulting Engineer at RCC Consultants from 1997 to 2001, Josh surveyed, permitted, and constructed radio coverage sites for various companies, including BellSouth Wireless Data and SNET in Connecticut.

Josh Aranov attended UMass Boston from 1978 to 1980, where they studied Physics. Prior to that, from 1969 to 1973, they attended W.T. Clarke Tech and obtained a BSET degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition to their educational background, Josh Aranov holds a Massachusetts Licensed Construction Supervisor certification, obtained in May 2001, and a FCC First Class Radiotelephone certification, obtained in April 1983.
