Bob Thompson is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in manufacturing and technology management. Currently serving as Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Altaeros since November 2022, Bob focuses on enhancing production processes and partnering with senior leadership for business growth. Previously, as HLA Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at Kopin Targeting Corporation, Bob played a key role in product development and engineering. Bob's career includes significant positions such as VP of Technology and Manufacturing at Flexplay Technologies, where Bob led multisite startups and executed technical developments with major industry partners, and Director of Global Service & Technical Sales at STEAG HamaTech, managing a team for global service support. Early roles included Plant Manager at AstralTech Americas and Production and Engineering Manager at Denon Digital Industries, where Bob contributed to facility start-ups and employee recruitment. Bob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
