Yousef Zakaria has a diverse range of work experience in various roles related to sustainability, green building, and project management. Yousef has held positions such as Executive Director at Alpin Limited, General Manager-Saudi Arabia at Alpin Limited, Sustainability and LEED Consultant at Saudi Aramco, Sustainability and Green Building Consultant at Independent, Sustainability and Green Buildings Project Manager at DALCO-Drake and Scull's Subcontractor, Senior Sustainability Consultant at Independent, LEED and Sustainability Project Manager at G-Building, Energy Audits and Sustainability Consultant at Energy Management Services Int., Laboratory Supervisor and Research Assistant at Hashemite University, and Production Engineer at PETRA Engineering Industries Co.

Yousef Zakaria has a diverse education history. In 1998, they completed their high school education in Automotive Maintenance at Hassan Abu-Huda Industrial School. Yousef went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at The Hashemite University from 2000 to 2004.

After their undergraduate studies, Yousef obtained several certifications in the field of project management and sustainable building. Yousef became a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) in April 2010, through the Association of Energy Engineers. In August 2008, they obtained the LEED AP (ID+C) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, specializing in leadership in energy and environmental design, interior design, and construction.

In 2012, Yousef earned the GPM: Certified Green Project Manager certification from GPM Global (Green Project Management®). Additionally, they became a PQP: ESTIDAMA Pearl Qualified Professional through the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council. In January 2014, they obtained the LEED Faculty certification and in April of the same year, they acquired the LEED AP (O+M) certification, both from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Yousef continued to expand their expertise and obtained the Green Classroom Professional (GCP) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in July 2015. In June 2018, they became an EDGE Expert through EDGE Buildings. Additionally, they obtained the CMVP: Certified Measurement and Verification Professional certification from the Association of Energy Engineers in December 2018.

Moving beyond sustainable building certifications, Yousef pursued project management certifications. In September 2020, they became a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. In October 2020, they obtained the Mostadam AP certification from Sustainable Building, and in November 2020, they acquired the PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.

Currently, in 2021, Yousef is attending Harvard Business School to obtain a Certificate in Financial Accounting. In 2020, they also earned a Diploma in Business Management from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI).
