Suren Gupta

President, Protection Products and Enterprise Services at Allstate

Suren Gupta is Executive Vice President, Allstate Technology, Services & Ventures for Allstate Insurance Company. Gupta joined Allstate in 2011 and leads a global organization that includes technology, corporate venture capital, sourcing and procurement and administrative services.

In his role leading the global technology organization, Gupta is responsible for bringing the technological vision and capabilities needed to drive the company's Transformative Growth Plan, which leverages the Allstate brand, people and technology to accelerate growth in its personal property-liability business. Strategic Ventures is Allstate's corporate venture capital group, initiating investments and partnerships with innovative startups and emerging growth companies. The Sourcing and Procurement Solutions and Administration & Real Estate groups ensure that the company is leveraging its buying power and fostering great work environments.

Under Gupta's leadership, the technology organization has won numerous awards, including the United Kingdom's highest honor for business success, the Queen's Award for Enterprise; the Forbes CIO Innovation Award; and the InformationWeek Decade award, which named Allstate one of the top 10 business technology innovators of the past decade in the U.S.

Gupta is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He also received an MBA from George Mason University and a master's degree in computer engineering from West Virginia University. In 2019 he received an honorary degree of Doctor of Science from Ulster University in Northern Ireland for services to the economy of Northern Ireland, where Allstate is a major employer

In 2015, Gupta was named to the board of directors of Zions Bancorporation. He also serves on the Chicago Public Library Foundation Board and on the board of Pratham U.S.A., the American chapter for Pratham, which provides pre-school education to underprivileged children in India. It now is the country's largest nongovernmental organization, providing education to millions of children who might otherwise work instead of attending school.
