Kim Franks has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Kim started their career as an Oncology Nurse at St. John's Hospital in 1996 and worked there until 2001. Kim then joined Springfield Clinic as a Clinical Informatics Manager from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, they became the Vice President of Product Management at Jardogs, LLC until 2013. From 2013 onwards, they worked as the Vice President of Product Management and later became the VP & GM of Consumer Health at Allscripts.

Kim Franks obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from St. John's College, Department of Nursing, between the years 1994 and 1996.
