William Mueller began their work experience in 1980 when they became the President of Allied Corrosion Industries, Inc. In 2009, they joined NACE International and held several roles including Finance Committee Member, Expositions Committee Chairperson, and Conferences and Expositions Activities Committee Director.

William Mueller attended Auburn University from 1971 to 1975, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations.
