James Krier, P.E. is a Principal Engineer at Alliant Energy with significant experience in power quality studies, technical training, and project management related to distributed generation interconnections. Krier has held various roles within the company since June 2013, including Senior Engineer and Lead Engineer, managing projects and setting technical guidelines for interconnections to the WPL distribution system. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Sales Consulting Engineer at Alliant Energy from April 2007 to June 2010, overseeing the Sales Engineering team responsible for medium voltage electrical systems for commercial and industrial customers. Krier holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
