David Spelt is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in data engineering, analytics, and cloud solutions. Currently serving as the Lead IT Consultant for Snowflake at Alliander since March 2023, David also holds the position of Solution Designer for Customer Analytics at Vattenfall since October 2019. As the owner of XLOPS since August 2008, David has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills in the IT consultancy sector. Prior roles include Data Engineer at Enexis Groep, where David led a significant migration project to AWS cloud and transformed data architecture, and as an ETL Lead responsible for developing standards for ETL processes. Earlier career highlights include roles at Shell and Essent, where David contributed to the implementation of tax reporting solutions and Service-oriented architectures. David holds a PhD and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Twente.
