Thorsten Winkelmann has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Thorsten is currently employed at AllianceBernstein as the SVP/Chief Investment Officer of European & Global Growth Equities. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Allianz Global Investors, including CIO Global Growth/Managing Director, CIO Growth Equity/Managing Director, Managing Director/Senior Portfolio Manager European Equities, and Director/Portfoliomanager European Equities. Before joining Allianz Global Investors, they worked at Deutsche Bank as a Mitarbeiter Brokerage. Thorsten also had internship experiences at Julius Baer Investment Fund Services and American Heritage Management Corp. Their career started with a trainee position at Dresdner Bank AG.

Thorsten Winkelmann obtained a Diplom-Volkswirt degree in Economics from The University of Bonn, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Thorsten also holds a certification in Leading with Innovation from LinkedIn, obtained in 2021.
