Claire Ward currently serves as the Mayor of East Midlands Combined County Authority and holds the position of Advisory Board Member at Alliance Healthcare. With extensive experience, Claire has been a Director (Consultancy) at Capewells Ltd since 2011 and has completed a Fellowship with the Society of Leadership Fellows at St George's House, Windsor Castle. From June 2017 to May 2024, Claire was the Director of Public Affairs at the Pharmacist Defence Association and served as CEO of The Institute for Collaborative Working from January 2019 to February 2022, now as a Non-Executive Director. Claire's leadership roles include serving as a non-executive director at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and as Chair of Pharmacy Voice. Previous experience includes tenure as CEO of the Independent Pharmacy Federation and serving as Justice Minister at the Ministry of Justice. Educational credentials include an LL.B (honours) from the University of Hertfordshire, a Master's degree in British Politics and the European Union from Brunel University London, and a Diploma in Legal Practice with Commendation from the College of Law, London.
