Tom Zimnicki is a seasoned professional in environmental policy and science, currently serving as the Agriculture and Restoration Policy Director at Alliance for the Great Lakes since January 2022. Prior to this role, Tom held positions including Senior Environmental Policy Advisor at the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development and Program Director at the Michigan Environmental Council, where a policy agenda related to agriculture and water resources was designed and implemented. Experience also includes a role as Project Scientist at Kieser & Associates, LLC, focusing on environmental markets and water quality trading frameworks. Tom's academic background comprises a Master of Public Affairs and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Adrian College.
