Melissa Moritz currently serves as a Senior Advisor at the Alliance for Learning Innovation and the STEM Next Opportunity Fund, where involvement includes leadership roles in initiatives focused on equitable educational opportunities. Previous positions include Policy Entrepreneur in Residence at the Federation of American Scientists and various roles at the U.S. Department of Education, ranging from Afterschool and Summer Learning Fellow to Deputy Director of the Office of STEM. Melissa's experience also encompasses significant leadership at the National Math and Science Initiative and Teach For America, where management of educational initiatives and recruitment efforts contributed to substantial advancements in STEM education. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and attendance at Deerfield Academy.
