Charles Haake is currently serving as Vice President and General Counsel at Alliance For Automotive Innovation since January 2020. Previously, Charles held the same title at the Association of Global Automakers from September 2015 to January 2020, where responsibilities included providing legal advice on environmental, energy, safety, and policy matters relevant to the automotive industry. Prior to that, Charles was Of Counsel at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher from November 1997 to September 2015, engaging in general civil litigation, mass and toxic tort defense, environmental enforcement actions, and agency rulemaking. Charles earned a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law between 1994 and 1997 and a BA in Politics and German from Washington and Lee University from 1988 to 1992.
