Omar Usman has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Omar started their career as a Summer Intern at Ford Motor Company in 2001 and later worked as a Summer Intern at AVL in 2002. In 2006, they joined Accenture as an Analyst and worked there until 2008. In 2011, they worked as a Researcher at Northwestern University, where they played a key role in developing a business plan and financial model for the PROMIS initiative.

From 2009 to 2017, Omar served as the Co-Founder of Pegwar, an unspecified company. In 2014, they joined the University of Chicago Hospitals as an Emergency Medicine Resident and worked there until 2017. During this time, they gained hands-on experience in emergency medicine.

In 2017, Omar pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University until 2019, where they further enhanced their knowledge and skills. Omar also worked as a Medical Informatics Fellow at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2017 to 2019.

In 2018, Omar joined Kaiser Permanente as an Emergency Medicine Physician and worked there until 2021. Simultaneously, they also worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2019 to 2021.

Recently, Omar has been associated with all.health, where they started as the Director of Clinical Informatics in 2019 and then promoted to the role of VP of Clinical Informatics starting in March 2023.

Omar Usman has a diverse education history spanning various fields of study. Omar received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing and Healthcare at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, completing it from 2010 to 2011.

In 2008, Omar Usman enrolled at The Ohio State University, where they obtained a Medical Doctor (MD) degree, concluding their studies in 2014. Subsequently, they pursued further training in Emergency Medicine, completing a Residency program at the University of Chicago from 2014 to 2017. To enhance their expertise, they underwent a Fellowship in Informatics at Stanford University from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Omar Usman has obtained several certifications to augment their skill set. Omar is Board Certified in Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), a designation they acquired in January 2021. Omar also holds Board Certification in Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine, which they earned in June 2018. Furthermore, they have obtained various medical certifications, including Advanced Trauma Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Omar Usman has also obtained medical licenses in different states, including a Michigan Medical License from the Michigan Board of Medicine in July 2021, a Virginia Medical License from the Virginia Board of Medicine in February 2022, and a California Medical License from the Medical Board of California in May 2017.

More recently, Omar Usman has pursued additional professional development through online certifications. These include Learning Vue.js from LinkedIn, obtained in June 2023, Jira Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian, obtained in May 2023, Jira: Basic Administration from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2023, Learning Google Workspace Administration from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2023, and Learning Jira Software from LinkedIn, obtained in April 2023. Omar also completed Figma Essential Training: The Basics from LinkedIn in October 2022.
