Mr. Arun Kumar Purwar was inducted on the Board in the year 2015. Mr. Purwar served as the Chairman of the State Bank of India and the Indian Bank Association for the periods from November 2002 to May 2006 and 2005-06 respectively. He has been the recipient of several prestigious awards such as ā€˜CEO of the Yearā€™ from the Institute of Technology and Management in 2004, ā€˜Outstanding Achiever of the Yearā€™ from the Indian Banksā€™ Association in 2004 and ā€˜Finance Man of the Yearā€™ by the Bombay Management Association in 2006. He also serves as an independent director in various leading companies of power, steel, financial sector, fin-tech, engineering consultancy and film/ entertainment industries/ sectors.
