Divya Halai is an accomplished Engineering Manager with extensive experience in cloud engineering and automation. Currently at Algolia since May 2022, Divya previously held roles at J.P. Morgan, where responsibilities included driving cloud adoption and managing costs through FinOps processes. As an Engineering Manager at Worldpay, Divya promoted automation and led teams focused on improving platform reliability and operability. Earlier experience includes a role as a Language Engineer at Google, contributing to the rollout of Hindi and Indian English voices for the TTS feature on Android. Divya’s career began with Unix System Administration and market data analysis at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Divya holds an M.A. in Linguistics from UCL and a BSc in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London.
