Joana Saraiva Viegas is a seasoned professional in compliance and legal counsel with extensive experience in various legal domains. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance & Internal Audit at Algebra Capital since May 2020, Joana is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance for LX Partners in Portugal across multiple business activities. Prior to this role, Joana held a position as a Lawyer/Legal Counsel at SERVDEBT GROUP, providing legal advice, contract management, and compliance oversight, and also served as the Data Protection Officer. Joana's legal career began at Banco Popular Portugal, where responsibilities included legal advising on mortgage loan contracts. Earlier experience includes a trainee position at Raposo Bernardo & Associados, focusing on executive and tax law. Joana holds an Advanced Training in Compliance from IFB and continues to pursue advanced studies in Securities Law.
