Vice President Business Unit Hygienic Fluid Handlling, Head Of Product Management at Alfa Laval

Mikkel Nordkvist has a diverse work experience in various roles and responsibilities. Mikkel started their career as a PhD student at the Technical University of Denmark in 2001 and continued until 2005. After that, they held the position of R&D Manager at ISO-MIX A/S, a company specializing in mixing equipment, from 2005 to 2007. Then, Mikkel became the CTO of ISO-MIX A/S until it was acquired by Alfa Laval in 2009.

Following the acquisition, Mikkel joined Alfa Laval and worked as an Application Development Manager until 2010. In this role, they focused on project management and development of new business areas for the company's technology. Mikkel then became the Competence Center Manager in the Market Unit Brewery, responsible for global sales and application development strategies. In this role, they achieved significant sales results.

Later, Mikkel held the position of Senior Manager in the Tank Equipment division at Alfa Laval, leading the Application Management Department and guiding new product development. During their tenure, several patented innovations were developed. Mikkel also served as the Global Competence Development Manager, responsible for the Competence Development Department, and played a role in the acquisitions team.

In 2017, Mikkel was promoted to Vice President of the Business Unit Hygienic Fluid Handling at Alfa Laval, first as the Head of Sales until 2022, and then as the Head of Product Management starting from 2023. In these roles, they played a crucial role in the company's sales and product management strategies.

Mikkel Nordkvist completed their high school diploma at Thisted Gymnasium in 1994. Mikkel then pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1994 to 2001. Later, from 2001 to 2005, they completed a PhD in Biochemical Engineering, also at DTU. In 2006, Mikkel attended Copenhagen Business School, where they completed the GDBA in Finance, part I & II, from 2006 to 2011. Finally, from 2010 to 2013, they obtained an MSc in Brewing Science from the University of Nottingham.
