Van Zyl Engelbrecht has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research sectors, currently serving as the Head of Country Operations at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior roles include Director of Clinical Operations at Lindus Health, Director of Clinical Research at UBC, and Associate Director of Late Phase Clinical Development and Operations at Astellas Pharma. Engelbrecht began a career as a Senior Project Manager at ICON Clinical Research. Academic credentials include an M.Sc (Med) in Pharmaceutical Affairs from the University of the Witwatersrand and a B.Med.Sc (Hons) in Clinical Research & Pharmacology from the University of the Free State.
