Vladimir Kiselev has a long and varied work experience. In 2005, they were the Department Manager at \u042e\u043d\u0438\u0443\u043c - Unium, where they managed the work of a weekend school department, fees collection and communication with parents. In 2006, they were a Quality Assurance Engineer at CyberVision (Starpoint Solutions), where they lead one of the company's QA projects and developed automated tests for transactional web applications. In 2008, they were a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the European Bioinformatics Institute, where they lead a Bioinformatics and Systems Biology study of breast cancer using bulk RNA-Seq and mass spectrometry data analysis and a Bioinformatics study of alternative polyadenylation using iClip data. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Informatics Team Leader at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where they hired and lead a team of Bioinformaticians and Software Developers, supervised two Erasmus+ students, and developed and maintained a popular teaching course on single-cell RNA-seq data analysis. In 2018, they were the Director & Founder of Genatuk Ltd. From 2021 to 2022, they were the Director of Bioinformatics & Software at CS Genetics. Currently, they are the Head of Bioinformatics at Alethiomics, where they are responsible for developing the company's target identification and validation computational platforms, setting up/running/maintaining the company's compute and analysis cloud infrastructure, and developing/maintaining the company's internal web data dashboard.

Vladimir Kiselev began their education in 2002 when they earned a BS in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT). Vladimir continued their studies at the same institution, graduating with an MS in Applied Mathematics and Physics in 2008. In 2008, they also began their PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, which they completed in 2011.
