Adel A. Al-Marshad

Dr. Adel AlMarshad is Chief Transformation Officer at the International Medical Center (IMC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. AlMarshad served as the senior advisor to several ministers at the Saudi Ministry of Health and Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning, where he led national health reform policy, privatization, finance and investment initiatives as part of the National Transformation Program and Vision 2030. He was the torchbearer of the six pillars mandated by the National Health Transformation, establishing Innovation in Health and Healthcare as the linchpin model for reform.

Dr. AlMarshad is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine: Clinical Informatics and the American Board of Emergency Medicine: Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. He is a graduate of Harvard University with a master of public health degree, specializing in Quantitative Methods, Health Policy and Management. He attended Yale University School of Medicine, George Washington University School of Medicine and was a Fellow in Clinical Informatics, Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. AlMarshad was the West Wireless Health Innovation Physician Fellow and the winner of the National Health Innovation Award, and he serves as a director or advisor to multiple healthcare companies.
