Cy (Seong Yeun) Kim is a skilled engineer and designer with a diverse background in frontend engineering, creative technology, and design consultancy. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Alcove, Cy possesses experience as a Recurser at the Recurse Center and held several roles that include Frontend Engineer at Octane and New York University, where workshops in MaxMSP and physical computing were taught. Cy contributed as a Systems Design Consultant for Welcome To Chinatown, where a blockchain-based digital loyalty system was developed. Previous roles involved design and prototyping at various firms, including in the wild and FR-EE, and research in robotic manufacturing at Carnegie Mellon University. Cy holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University.
