Jim Burris has extensive experience in maintenance supervision and coordination within the manufacturing sector. Currently serving as the Roll Shop / Thermal Department Area Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisor at Alcoa since August 2018, Jim's previous roles include Maintenance Supervisor at Sonoco Products and Maintenance Mechanical Planner at Alcoa Fastening Systems. Prior to that, Jim held the position of Maintenance Supervisor at Rio Tinto Alcan, overseeing both electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel. Jim began their career as a Maintenance Electrician at Gibbs Die Casting, focused on HVAC systems and plant utilities. Jim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership from Oakland City University and an Associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ivy Tech Community College.
