Roman Kozak is a co-founder and CTO at Verdi since March 2020, focusing on modern automation tools for precision irrigation in industrial agriculture. Additionally, Roman has been a member of the Alchemist Accelerator since September 2020, supporting seed-stage ventures aimed at enterprise monetization. Previous experience includes roles as an electrical engineer at ParemTech, a hardware engineer at Swarm Technologies, and an engineering intern at the University of Toronto Institute of Aerospace Studies, where autonomous robotics were developed. Roman also has a background in electronic systems design as an engineering consultant for Aether Industries and as an aerospace engineering intern at the University of Michigan. Earlier career highlights include founding Geek Terrain, a technology blog, and serving as a social media manager for OnTab Mobile Payments. Roman holds a BASc in Integrated Engineering (Electrical & Mechanical) from The University of British Columbia.
