Kyra Plata, CPA, CA, is a seasoned professional in the field of sustainability and ESG disclosure, currently serving as a Senior Analyst at the Alberta Securities Commission since March 2017. With previous roles including Senior Securities Analyst and Team Lead in Oversight, Kyra has developed extensive expertise in regulatory analysis and market oversight. Prior to this, Kyra was a Manager in Accounting and Transaction Advisory at Deloitte Canada, focusing on complex accounting issues, new standards implementation, and securities support services. Kyra's career began at Deloitte Australia, where involvement included positions as Senior Analyst and Senior Accountant, following an earlier role as an Implementations Specialist at Solium Capital. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary and current studies towards a Climate Change Policy and Practice Certificate at the University of Toronto.
