Dayo Ogunyemi is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Legal Counsel at Alberta Energy Regulator since July 2024. Ogunyemi also holds the position of President at Global Lawyers of Canada since November 2019 and previously worked as an Associate at Bennett Jones from June 2021 to June 2024. Prior to that, Ogunyemi was a Partner at Paragon Advisors and served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, along with a fellowship at the Canadian Institute of Resources Law. Earlier experience includes an Associate role at George Etomi & Partners and a Legal Practitioner position at Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. Ogunyemi's educational background includes a Master of Laws - LLM from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Laws - LLM (Thesis) in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Calgary, as well as degrees from Nigerian Law School and Obafemi Awolowo University.
