Roy Boyd Jr. is an experienced professional with a diverse background in emergency response, leadership, and organizational management. Currently serving as a Firefighter/EMT for Albemarle County since January 2023, Roy is responsible for responding to emergencies, controlling fires, and protecting life and property. Prior to this role, Roy held management and service positions in various organizations, including General Manager at Mattress Outlet and Server at Texas Roadhouse and Chili's. As the Executive Director of Operations and Director of Leadership Development at Divine Unity Community Church, Roy focused on enhancing organizational efficiency and supporting ministry development. Additionally, Roy has experience in campus ministry, leadership consulting, and mentoring youth through sports and Christian curriculum. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from James Madison University.
