Amy Bushatz is an experienced journalist currently serving as a news reporter for the Anchorage Daily News, focusing on the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and general assignments. In addition, Amy co-hosts the Outdoor Explorer program on Alaska Public Media and founded the nonprofit Mat-Su Sentinel, an online news source launching in August 2024. Amy also hosts and produces the Humans Outside Podcast and has contributed as a freelance news reporter for various prominent publications. Previously, Amy held significant roles at Military.com, overseeing content operations and managing military family content. With a strong educational background, including a Master's degree in Public Leadership and a forthcoming Entrepreneurial Journalism Certificate, Amy's diverse experience spans various media outlets and projects.
