Kelsey Black has a diverse work experience across various industries. From 2017 onwards, they have been working at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), starting as a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst in September 2017 and later transitioning to the role of Analytics Engineer in July 2019.
Before that, Kelsey worked at Newport News Shipbuilding, a Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, from 2013 to 2017. During their time there, they served as a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer. Kelsey'sresponsibilities included being an analyst and product owner on Agile development teams, designing and analyzing computer-based simulations, and creating analytical charts and reports using the Business Intelligence Reporting Tool (BIRT) package.
Prior to their role at Newport News Shipbuilding, Kelsey held a Teaching Assistantship at the College of William and Mary from 2011 to 2013. Kelsey also gained experience working at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts as a Waitress, Hostess, Busser, Expediter, and Retail Clerk from 2008 to 2012.
Kelsey started their professional journey as an Intern at Newport News Shipbuilding in 2012 and also worked as a Programmer I Intern at Hershey Medical Center from 2010 to 2011.
Kelsey Black completed their BS in Mathematics with a focus on Computational Mathematics at Penn State University from 2007 to 2011. Kelsey then pursued their MS in Computer Science with a specialization in Computational Operations Research at William & Mary from 2011 to 2013.
