Richard J. Carter PhD FBCS FRSA is a distinguished expert in complexity science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Senior Visiting Fellow and Senior Research Consultant at The Alan Turing Institute since May 2022. As the CEO and Founder of tulpa since February 2022, Richard focuses on advancing AI technologies. Richard's experience includes a Council Member role at the European Complex Systems Society, where contributions are made to promote complexity science in various sectors. Previous roles also encompass advising on digital transformation and AI at SNC-Lavalin, serving as a Computer Scientist at the University of Bristol, and holding significant positions in management and product development across various industries. Richard's educational background includes a PhD in Complexity Science from the University of Bristol, an MBA from the University of Warwick, and advanced degrees in Microsystems & Nanotechnology and Computing Systems.
