Gene Sprague

Gene Sprague has been working in higher education for over 15 years. Gene started as an Admissions Counselor at Butler Community College in 2007 and eventually became the Director of Campus Visitor Center and Advanced Standing Program at Newman University. In 2006, they began working as a College Advisor for Wichita Public Schools. In this position, they helped high school students navigate the college admissions process and plan for their future. In 2014, they returned to Butler Community College as an Adjunct Instructor and eventually became the Director of Early College IT Academy. In 2017, they left Butler to take on the role of College Coordinator of High School Programs at Palo Alto College. Gene is currently the Chair at Alamo Colleges District.

Gene Sprague has a M.B.A from Newman University in Management and a Bachelor of Arts from Wichita State University in Sociology and Spanish.
