Claudia Mora has had a diverse work experience in various roles related to community and economic development. Claudia started working as the Economic Development Director for the City of Leon Valley in 2012, where they were responsible for supporting the Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation and handling tasks such as research, data analysis, and business development. Claudia then moved on to become the Economic Development Director and Airport Manager for the City of Castroville in 2016, where they focused on developing economic plans, attracting businesses, and managing the municipal airport. Currently, Claudia holds the position of Director of Regional Services at the Alamo Area Council of Governments, overseeing community and economic development activities in a 13-county region and managing programs related to disaster recovery, resource recovery, and weatherization assistance.
Claudia Mora obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from St. Mary's University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Trinity University, where they studied from 1985 to 1991.
