Jane Mika-Haynie has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jane started their career as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at Inova Health System's SANE program from 1991 to 1998. Jane then went on to work as the Director of Emergency Services at Potomac Hospital from 1995 to 2001. Jane later served as the Director of Risk Management at Community Hospital of Lancaster (HMA) from 2002 to 2004. Jane also worked as a member of the Center for Nursing Leadership from 2002 to 2006. From 2004 to 2006, Jane worked as an Implementation Consultant at SoftMed Systems, Inc., specializing in risk manager web-based implementations and case management. Jane then transitioned to a Nurse Analyst role at Frisbie Memorial Hospital from 2006 to 2007.
From 2007 to 2013, Jane held the position of Senior Clinical Analyst at Washington Hospital Healthcare System, where they supported various clinical and non-clinical applications and was involved in the implementation of the Emergency Department Information System. Jane then joined TotalMed IT as a Consultant from 2013 to 2014.
Jane's most recent work experience was at Alameda Health System, where they started as a Senior Analyst in 2014. Jane provided support for clinical 3M products, including risk management, quality management, and care management. Jane also supported Soarian EDM and was involved in data analysis, reports, and implementation support. Jane retired from this role in 2021.
In addition to their healthcare roles, Jane was also a co-owner of Lightheart Cellars from 2009 to 2016.
Jane Mika-Haynie attended George Mason University from 1989 to 2000, where they obtained their MSN degree in Nursing Administration.
