Joaquin Newman is an experienced professional in the arts and technology sectors, currently serving as a Project Manager at the Alameda County Office of Education since July 2016, where leadership of the Arts & Creativity Program at the REACH Ashland Youth Center is emphasized. Prior roles include Arts Program Coordinator and Media Arts Instructor, with responsibilities involving the coordination of integrated arts learning spaces. As the owner and Art Director of Forrealism, Newman fosters indigenous arts through collaborative initiatives. Extensive experience also includes various technical support and information technology roles at organizations such as Centarus Inc. and Silicon Graphics, Inc., alongside a strong background in teaching and arts coordination at multiple California museums and arts organizations.
