Mark Thompson is a Project Engineer where he works to teach and implement continuous improvement solutions by utilizing methodologies such as lean manufacturing and six sigma. He also teaches quality-related tools and implements management systems.

Mark has over 25 years of experience facilitating kaizen events using tools such as 5S, single-minute exchange of die (SMED), standard work, point-of-use storage (POUS), and value stream mapping. He is also proficient with automotive core tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, and DOE.

Prior to joining ATN, Mark Thompson was the Quality Assurance Manager for Superior Manufacturing Group and responsible for continuous improvement and the quality/environmental management systems at the Moselle and Calhoun facilities. While there, he achieved, by working as part of a cross-functional team, throughput increases, scrap reduction, and working to maintain the appropriate levels of inventory within the Moselle and Calhoun facilities utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
