Gabriela Ocampo is an experienced legal aide and interpreter with a background in linguistics and Latin American studies. Currently serving as an Americorps Member at Al Otro Lado since September 2023, Gabriela conducts intake screenings and prepares FBI fingerprint cards for background checks. Previously, Gabriela was a VRI Spanish Immigration Court Interpreter at SOS International, where effective video and telephonic interpreting was provided. Gabriela's experience also includes roles as a Grants and Development Intern at Al Otro Lado, multiple serving positions in the hospitality industry, and various interpreting roles across different sectors. Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University and a high school diploma from Carol Morgan School.
