Fatima Matousse is an accomplished professional in the fields of academia and film, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Al Akhawayn University since August 2023. With extensive freelance experience as a Film Director since July 2018, Matousse previously worked as an Assistant Editor at HUDSON WEST PRODUCTIONS, contributing to the feature documentary "Cinema & Sanctuary." Additional expertise includes cinematography for TeleMaroc and program management roles at both Connect Institute and Dar Si Hmad for Development, Education and Culture, where Matousse developed educational curricula and organized cultural initiatives. As the Founder and Artistic Director of the Mirrors Art Festival, Matousse successfully launched the inaugural event in 2015. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film from The City College of New York, and multiple master's degrees in Cultural Studies and Communication.
