Sara Johnson is an experienced professional in the fields of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) research and development. Currently serving as an HSE R&D Advisor at AkzoNobel since September 2023, Sara previously held the position of Research Development Team Lead at ITW Evercoat and worked as a Chemical Hygiene Officer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sara's extensive background includes roles as a Product Safety Specialist and Chemist at The Shepherd Chemical Company and as a Graduate Student at Purdue University, where Sara completed a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry. Additionally, Sara possesses an MBA in Business Administration from Kettering University and has foundational experience as a Laboratory Technician with Kelly Scientific Resources, specializing in inorganic materials and catalysis.
