Merete Gisvold Sandberg currently serves as the Global Solutions Manager for Fish Performance at AKVA group ASA since May 2022. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Manager at BDO Norge, focusing on the seafood industry and serving as a process leader in the NCE Aquatech Cluster from May 2019 to May 2022. Merete was a Board Member for the Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Funding (FHF) from February 2015 to May 2019 and held multiple roles at SalMar, including Sustainability and Quality Leader, with a focus on sustainable practices in aquaculture. Earlier experience includes significant advisory roles at SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture and consulting at KPMG. Merete's educational background consists of a degree in Animal Science - Aquaculture and Nutrition from NMBU and various studies at institutions such as BI Norwegian Business School and NTNU, highlighting a strong foundation in aquaculture and business management.
