David Perruchoud has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. David currently holds the position of Data Science Manager at Aktiia since May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Data Scientist at Aktiia from February 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Aktiia, David Perruchoud worked at Ava Women, where they served as a Senior Data Scientist from January 2020 to January 2021. Prior to that, they held the positions of Data Scientist and Junior Data Scientist at Ava Women from June 2018 to January 2020 and from January 2018 to May 2018, respectively.

David Perruchoud gained research experience during their time at CHUV / Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois, where they worked as a Doctoral Researcher from February 2014 to January 2017. David also worked as a Doctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi di Verona for a brief period from June 2015 to December 2015.

Their research journey began at Harvard Medical School, where they worked as a Graduate Researcher from September 2012 to August 2013. David also worked as a Deployed Researcher at EPFL EssentialTech Centre on a humanitarian deployment project in Cameroon from July 2012 to August 2012.

In addition to their research experience, David Perruchoud gained practical skills during their internships. David worked as an Internship Student at IRO-Institute for Research in Ophthalmology for a 4-week internship in July 2011, where they practiced various biological techniques. David also worked as an Internship Student at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne for a 5-week internship in July 2010, where they practiced a wide range of biological techniques and assisted in in vivo neurosurgery experiments.

David Perruchoud completed their Maturity (Baccalaureate) in Biology-Chemistry from Lycée-Collège de la Planta in the years 2002-2007. David then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Life Sciences from EPFL between 2008-2011. Following this, from 2011-2013, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences - Neurosciences also from EPFL. Continuing their education, David attended Harvard Medical School in 2012-2013, focusing on neuroscience. Finally, they completed their education by earning a Ph.D in neuroscience from the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School during the period of 2014-2017. In terms of additional certifications, David obtained a certification in Big Data Modeling and Management Systems from Coursera in July 2017 and an Introduction to Big Data certification from the same institution in June 2017.
