Brian Vinter is a Vice Dean at Aarhus University since July 2020, overseeing research initiatives. Vinter also serves as a Board Member for DeiC and Center Denmark, and is a member of Akademiet for de Tekniske Videnskaber. Previously, Vinter held the position of Head of the High-Performance Computing Center at Copenhagen University from April 2013 to July 2020, managing development and operations in high-performance computing and scalable storage. Vinter’s academic tenure includes professorships at the University of Copenhagen and Niels Bohr Institute, and leadership of the eScience Center at Copenhaven University. Vinter’s educational background includes a Dr. Scient in Computer Science from Tromsø University and an MS in Computer Science from Aalborg University.
