James Harper, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder since August 2023. With extensive experience in engineering and academia, James has held multiple roles including Senior Editor at American Journal Experts, Research Manager at Realize Research, and Program Manager and Lead Engineer at Engineers Without Borders USA, where significant contributions to water purification and housing projects benefitted rural communities in India. Previous positions include mechanical engineering roles at Quartus Engineering and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, and teaching roles at High Bluff Academy and UC San Diego. James holds a PhD in Civil Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
