Jeff Held has had an extensive work experience in software development. In 2021, they began working as a Software Developer at Aiven, where they contributed heavily to a React codebase (TypeScript, Redux), wrote end-to-end tests with Playwright, and helped improve the teams' coding standards with a shared ESLint repository. In 2019, they took on the role of Frontend Team Lead at McMakler, where they communicated with stakeholders to develop new features, held 1-on-1s with team members, and maintained a GraphQL server (Node.js). Additionally, they worked as a Frontend Developer, developing in-house applications using Angular, TypeScript, SASS, and Jest, and contributing to the migration of a legacy hybrid AngularJS/Angular application to a purely Angular application. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at Asynchrony Labs, where they updated an admin panel written with React/Redux, developed web applications using React, Redux and TypeScript, and configured and debugged Gitlab CI pipelines. In 2017, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Greater Goods LLC, where they rewrote the customer-facing website (previously written in AngularJS) using Angular, Typescript, SASS, and Jasmine/Karma, developed an in-house application for managing products and company data displayed on the customer-facing website, and developed a Node.js server for the customer-facing website. Additionally, they worked as a Software Development Intern at Maryville Technologies, where they worked with four other interns to develop open-source web applications, such as an online code editor for LaunchCode and a tool to track skills and knowledge of individual team members. Jeff also worked as a Tutor at Lindenwood University in 2014 and as a Software Developer Intern at CA Technologies in 2016, where they pair-programmed daily to develop and debug features for the Agile Central product, updated an on-boarding Bash script, and learned about Agile methodology. Finally, in 2015, they worked as a Web Development Intern at Maritz Travel Company, where they implemented Adobe Analytics into JSP websites and wrote internal documentation detailing its implementation and use.

Jeff Held received their high school diploma from Central High School in 2013 and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Lindenwood University in 2017.
