Dana Garifullina has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. Dana began their career as a Software Developer at Ufanet, where they developed software and learned to understand software from a business perspective. In 2014, they moved to Yellow New Zealand as a Python Developer, where they were the lead Python developer for CTN call tracking system. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Senior Full Stack Developer/ERP Developer at Solnet Solutions, where they automated day-to-day processes and optimized and migrated old data. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Senior Software Engineer at IMAGR, where they worked to revolutionize the in-store shopping experience. In 2021, they moved to Kiwibank as a Full Stack Engineer, and in 2022, they joined Aiven as a Site Reliability Engineer.

Dana Garifullina holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from Ufa State Aviation Technical University, with a field of study in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. In addition, they have obtained a certification in API Design and Fundamentals of Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors) from Coursera in May 2019.
