Laoise Ballance

Laoise Ballance has a diverse range of work experience. Laoise began their career as a Pharmacy Sales Assistant at McCartan's Pharmacy in 2010, where they gained customer service skills and knowledge of medication.

In 2015, Laoise worked as an Italian Tutor commissioned by Santa Sabina Dominican College, providing Italian lessons to students with learning difficulties and offering extra help to other students. Laoise also served as an Italian Oral Examiner at the college to evaluate students' proficiency for the Leaving Certificate Oral exam.

Laoise then joined the Department of Education and Skills in 2016 as a Reader for State Examinations, aiding in the assessment process for exams.

In the same year, Laoise started working at Bank of Ireland as a Motor Finance Quality Assurance Administrator. Their responsibilities included examinng and organizing official documents, performing KYC checks, and calculating financial quotes.

Laoise then transitioned to Ironshore Europe DAC, where they worked as an Operations Project Support. In this role, Laoise examined and translated German insurance documentation, analyzed past insurance policy procedures, and presented findings to senior management.

In 2018, Laoise worked as a Reporting Analyst at Intesa Sanpaolo on a 6-month maternity cover contract. Laoise was responsible for completing regulatory reporting duties and improving reporting processes.

Laoise then joined Gelato in 2019 as a Network Operations Specialist. Laoise monitored product performance, handled issues related to cloud data transmissions, guided customer service agents, and ensured customer satisfaction.

Currently, Laoise works at Airthings as the Head of Consumer Customer Success, overseeing consumer customer success initiatives.

Laoise Ballance has a strong educational background. Laoise started their academic journey at Santa Sabina Dominican College, where they pursued their Leaving Certificate from 2006 until 2012. Laoise then went on to attend University College Dublin for their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Modern Languages. Laoise successfully completed this program from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, during their time at University College Dublin, Laoise also studied at Freie Universität Berlin for a year from 2014 to 2015.
