José A. Algarín is an ingenious strategist and sagacious leader, José Algarín is a highly respected executive with a prolific 30-year professional career within the aviation, food service and tourism industries. Mr. Algarín establishes MGI’s goals, designs innovative strategies and encourages sound business investments, constantly raising the bar to progressively improve the overall performance of the business portfolio.

Former Chief Mergers and Acquisitions Officer at International Meal Company (IMC) Global, Mr. Algarín managed a capital budget of approx. $200 million and swiftly commanded a robust expansion of IMC businesses in Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, México, Panama and United States. Prior to this assignment, he was CEO for IMC Caribbean and Central America operations. José Algarín has also been President of Empresas Santana, leading the conglomerate’s successful commercial diversification in the early 2000s. Mr. Algarín has been recognized by prestigious business associations in Puerto Rico with accolades, such as: 2006 Top Management Award - Association of Sales & Marketing Executives (SME) and 2007 Executive of the Year, awarded by both the SME and the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association.
