Jon Almeras is an experienced tax professional currently serving as the Managing Director of Taxes at Airlines for America since November 2015. Prior to this role, Jon Almeras worked at Deloitte as a Tax Manager from September 2008 to November 2015, focusing on tax policy within the Washington National Tax group. Jon Almeras began their career in tax journalism at Tax Analysts, serving as Editor of Tax Notes and Insurance Tax Review from 1998 to 2008. Jon Almeras holds an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and a BA in Journalism from Franklin College.
